Models, Prompting & Context Engineering
Everything that happens before a request reaches the model. Which model to send it to, what the system prompt establishes, which prompting technique the task warrants, and what fits in the context window at what cost. Restraint is the recurring theme. A cheaper model, a clearer instruction and a smaller context are correct far more often than the reflex of reaching for more of everything.
