I work where design, product, and engineering overlap. In practice that means sitting with a customer, working out what they actually need, then designing, building, and shipping it inside their systems. Most companies staff that as three people. I've spent seven years doing it as one, embedded on client accounts rather than behind a delivery layer.

The recent focus is applied AI: LLM-powered applications and agentic workflows built on Claude, with judgment about where AI improves a product and where it's decoration.

Why this site exists

When I sat the Claude Certified Architect Professional exam there was no prep material for it. I passed, then built the practice bank I wished I'd had. It's free, has no sign-up, and is now used by over 1,000 people a day preparing for Anthropic's certifications. That's roughly how I work: notice a gap, close it, ship it.

What I do as a Forward Deployed Engineer

A forward deployed engineer is embedded with a customer's team rather than working through a delivery layer. My version of the role:

• Scope with the customer directly. Find the problem worth solving before anyone writes code.
• Design the experience. Seven years as a UX engineer means I don't hand this off.
• Build it. React, Next.js, and TypeScript on the frontend; Claude Agent SDK, MCP, Vercel AI SDK, and RAG for the AI layer; Node.js, Prisma, and PostgreSQL at working depth behind it.
• Ship it inside their stack and stay on the account while it beds in.

• Generative AI Leader, Google Cloud, 2026. Proctored exam.
• Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate, 2025.
