I built this to get myself through the CCAR-P, and it worked, I passed.

If the course gets you there too, drop me a hello. I would like to hear how your sitting went, and what can be improved.

In short

  • 200 original questions, tagged to all 30 published objectives across 5 domains.
  • A 65-item timed mock on the real 120-minute clock, scored against the 720 cut.
  • Free, and yours alone. No account, no sign-up, and your answers stay in this browser.
  • Separate from the CCAR-P bank on this site. Two exams, two decks, two sets of numbers.

Claude Certified Architect — Foundations is the entry-level architecture exam in Anthropic's certification programme, and it is a different paper from the Professional one this site was built for. CCAR-F asks how you build with Claude: agent loops, subagents, tool interfaces, MCP servers, Claude Code configuration, prompting for structured output, and keeping a long-running agent honest about what it does not know. CCAR-P asks how you design and defend a production system built on top of all that.

This bank holds 200 questions written against the published CCAR-F blueprint, roughly three sittings' worth, so you can take several forms before you start meeting items you remember. Each one is tagged to a single objective, which is what makes the coverage map and the per-objective score report mean anything.

A timed mock draws 65 items in these proportions. Within a domain the draw rotates through the objectives, so every objective contributes before any contributes twice.

How to use it

  1. 01Sit one timed mock cold. 65 items, 120 minutes, nothing revealed until you submit. The gap between your scaled score and 720 is the only honest reading you will get, and it is worth having before you study rather than after.
  2. 02Read the score report by objective, not by domain. A domain at 70% can hide one objective at zero, and the objective is the thing you can actually go and drill.
  3. 03Drill the objectives that came back weak, then work the mistakes deck. Anything you miss in any mode lands there, and two clean answers in a row retire an item from it.
  4. 04Sit a second mock when the deck is thin. The form is redrawn from all 200 items and the options are reshuffled, so it is not the same paper twice.

Drill one domain at a time

A domain drill walks every question this bank holds for that domain, checked as you go. Each one opens onto its objectives, which is the level the exam actually grades at.

Frequently asked questions

What is the CCAR-F exam?

CCAR-F is the Claude Certified Architect — Foundations certification, Anthropic's entry-level exam for people who design systems built on Claude. It is proctored through Pearson VUE, runs 120 minutes, passes at 720 on a 100 to 1000 scale, and stays valid for 12 months. Its blueprint covers 5 domains and 30 objectives, weighted toward agentic architecture and orchestration.

How is CCAR-F different from CCAR-P?

They are two exams at two levels. CCAR-F, the Foundations paper, tests building with Claude: agent loops, subagents, tool and MCP design, Claude Code configuration, prompting and context management, across 5 domains. CCAR-P, the Professional paper, tests designing and defending production systems, across 7 domains including evaluation, governance and stakeholder communication. Nothing forces you to pass Foundations first, though the Professional exam assumes you could.

How many questions are on the CCAR-F exam?

The published CCAR-F blueprint describes a 65-question form sat in 120 minutes, and the timed mock here matches that shape item for item. Anthropic's certification FAQ publishes the time limit, the pass mark and the price for every exam in the programme but not a per-exam question count, so treat 65 as the blueprint's figure rather than a promise about your sitting.

How much does the CCAR-F exam cost?

$125 per attempt at list price, with an automatic 50% discount for Select, Preferred and Global Premier partners. That is the same price as the Developer Foundations exam and less than the Professional architecture paper. Prices were last checked against Anthropic's own certification FAQ on 13 August 2026.

Who is allowed to sit CCAR-F?

People at organisations in the Claude Partner Network. Registration needs a work email on a recognised partner domain, and a personal address will not complete sign-up. This catches more people out than the syllabus does, so check it before you plan any study.

Is this CCAR-F practice bank free?

Yes. All 200 questions, every practice mode and the whole progress view are free, with no account and nothing held back for a paid tier. Your answers, scores and bookmarks are written to this browser's local storage and are never uploaded.

Where do these CCAR-F questions come from?

They were written for this site against the published CCAR-F blueprint and Anthropic's own documentation, one objective at a time. None of them is real exam content: sitting an exam commits you to keeping its questions confidential, so any practice set claiming to hold them is telling you something worse about itself than about the exam.

Does CCAR-F practice here mix with CCAR-P?

No. The two exams keep separate mistakes decks, bookmarks and progress, because revising for one exam while the other's items surface in the deck is the opposite of useful. Your CCAR-P history is untouched by anything you do under /ccar-f, and a paused sitting in one exam survives starting a sitting in the other.

Sitting the Professional exam instead?

The Claude Certified Architect — Professional paper is a different exam at a different level, and this site has a full bank for it too. If you are still deciding between them, the certifications page compares all four Claude exams on price, audience and eligibility.
